The 1980's were another decade of growth for MTI. A freight hauling division
was established to provide general commodities hauling throughout the
northwest. The primary shipper for this division was Unocal and trucks
hauled packaged petroleum products for Unocal on a daily basis. This in turn
led to hauling for several major grocery suppliers and this service
continues today. Commodities hauled are extremely time and temperature
sensitive. Dispatch handles dozens of vehicles making the most efficient use
of vehicle resources and maintaining quality service to the contractors.
